Round Robin Scoring:
Each Round Robin race win was worth one point. GBR and USA also carried bonus points for their placement in the 2015-2016 ACWS standings.

After the two Rounds Robin, the lowest ranking challenger candidate was eliminated and the top four challenger candidates advanced to the Louis Vuitton Playoff Semi-Finals. Regardless of outcome, Oracle Team USA represents the current holder of the trophy, Golden Gate YC, defending the America's Cup.

Tie breaks: Any ties at the end of the Rounds Robin would have been broken by the relative finish order of the teams in the 2015-2016 America's Cup World Series. See Final ACWS Standings
