Approximate Race Area for the America's Cup and Louis Vuitton Cup in 2013.

The Race Officers will set the exact course depending on wind conditions and other factors.  The diagram above is typical for the prevailing westerly winds in the race vicinity.  Best viewing locations will vary with the exact position of the race course and wind directions.

On the Water:
The race area will be patrolled to keep non-privileged traffic from interfering with the racing. 

Marine Radio:
Audio from the announcers is on VHF 20 (USA) and the marine traffic around the course including the transit lanes is controlled by PTAC on Channel 23A.
