Race 1: Friday 12th February 2010

It's a write-off. With very light 2-5 knot NW in the morning, turning around to be virtually becalmed around 1pm in the afternoon.

Yep, -- the RepCast gives it about 15% chance of racing. Snow is forecast for Saturday in Valencia with a light dusting in the afternoon.

Race 2: Sunday 14th February 2010

Summary: St. Valentines day... after snow in Valencia on Saturday.

It still doesn't look promising -- It will be colder than charity and the RepCast shows very light winds from Due East.  RepCast chance of racing about 15%.

Race 3: Tuesday 16th February 2010

Summary: Light Westerly at 6-9 knots

A bit warmer at about 11 degrees the high.  Wednesday looks out of the question because of too much breeze with up to 25 knots in the afternoon and expected to increase closer to the evening.

Slot 4: Thursday 18th February 2010

Sees squally rain and ideal 15-18 knot winds for BMWO from WSW but watch the sea state given the high winds on Wednesday.  If the boats do get a gun it's going to be hair-trigger stuff if a squall strafes the course.

Updated: Valencia RepCast issued 1800 New Zealand Daylight Savings Time (GMT + 13) Thursday February 11
