Detailed Schedule of Shore and Regatta Events for ACWS Portsmouth 2015:

Day 1:  Thursday 23rd 2015

  • 10:00 am: Race Village opens on Southsea

  • 11:00 am: The America’s Cup trophy arrives

  • 11:15 am – 12:30 pm: Moth racing and kitesurfing displays

  • 12:30 pm: Parade of Sail departs Royal Navy base and proceeds to the race course area

  • 12:45 pm – 2:30 pm: Official Parade of Sail and exhibition sailing by race teams

  • 1:15: Official press conference & presentation of skippers in Fanzone Arena

  • 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm: Opening Ceremony

  • 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: South Coast Proms concert featuring The Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines

 

Day 2: Friday 24th July:

  • 10:00 am: Race Village opens on Southsea Common

  • 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Moth racing and kitesurfing displays

  • 12:10 pm - 12:30 pm : Red Arrows display

  • 12:30 pm: Race boats depart Royal Navy base for race course area

  • 12:45 pm – 13:20 pm Race boats tuning up before practice racing with live commentary

  • 13:30 pm – 15:00 pm: America’s Cup practice starts and two practice races

  • 15:30 pm: Media mixed zone with skippers in Fanzone Arena

  • 19:15 pm – 21:30 pm: South Coast Proms concert featuring The Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines

 

Day 3: Saturday 25th July

  • 10:00 am: Race Village opens on Southsea Common

  • 10:30 am: RNLI helicopter display

  • 11:00 am – 12:30 pm: Moth racing and kitesurfing displays

  • 12:00 pm: Red Bull Matador air display

  • 12:30 pm: Race boats depart Royal Navy base for race course area

  • 12:45 pm – 1:20 pm Race boats tuning up before racing with live commentary

  • 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm: Two official America’s Cup World Series races

  • 2:30 pm: Skippers in media mixed zone in Fanzone Arena

  • 4:00 pm: Blades air display

  • 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm: Concert featuring Spandau Ballet; Wet Wet Wet; McBusted; and Carly Rae Jepsen

 

Day 4: Sunday July 26th

  • 10:00 am: Race Village opens on Southsea

  • 10:30 am: RNLI helicopter display

  • 11:00 am – 12:30 pm: Moth racing and kitesurfing displays

  • 12:00 pm: Trig aerial display

  • 12:30 pm: Race boats depart Royal Navy base for race course area

  • 12:45 pm – 1:20 pm: Race boats tuning up before racing with live commentary

  • 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Two official America’s Cup races (double points)

  • 3:30 pm: Skippers in media mixed zone in Fanzone Arena

  • 4:00 pm: All skippers and sailors to main stage in Waterfront Festival Arena

  • 4:15 pm - 5:00 pm: Gala prize giving event on main stage

  • 6:30 pm: Spitfire Display

  • 6:30 pm: Program ends
